November 16, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update

Slab edge formwork continued to be erected at the southeast wing of the main building and drainage rock continued to be placed.

Exterior metal studs continued to be installed at the 6th Floor Level, now at the east elevation.

Metal studs and sheathing board for the brick pilaster columns were being installed at the west elevation.

Columns above the 8th Floor splice point continued to be stood up and welded into place. Beams for the 9th Floor Level continued to be hung.

Diagonal bracing in conflict with corridor doors were relocated.

Metal grating at the north chase continued to be installed.

Wood blocking at exterior door and window openings continued to be installed.

November 11, 2007, Underwood Plaza Update

The electrical contractor was laying out holes in the upper level slabs for their new proposed routing of conduits for power to the upper level mechanical rooms. The MC cables for the risers arrived on site.
Metal studs continued to be installed at the west exterior elevation at the 6th Floor.

Exterior balcony soffits were being sheathed at the west elevation. Interior walls were being framed at the 5th Floor. The brick pilaster back up framing and sheathing at the west elevation began to be installed.

Fireproofing was sprayed at the 6th to 7th Floor columns and at the 7th Floor framing.

Metal decking installation was completed at the 8th Floor. Both north and south stairs were installed up to the 8th Floor. Posts for the exterior balcony rails were welded in place at the 8th Floor.

Rebar was installed for the 8th Floor north terrace slab and wire mesh was installed at the remainder of the floor. Block outs and floor drains were installed, and the 8th Floor slab, along with the stairs up to the 8th Floor, was poured.

Expanded metal flooring was being installed at the north chase.

Aluminum clad wood doors and windows for the west elevation were placed up on the upper floors and installation began.

Fire sprinkler piping continued to be hung over the 1st Floor and was installed over the 2nd and 3rd Floors.

Underslab piping and conduits were installed for the 1st Floor slab at the southeast wing of the main building and edge form began to be installed.

Asphalt felt moisture membrane continued to be installed at the west elevation.

Mechanical piping installation continued at the main mechanical room on the 1st Floor. Domestic water piping continued to be installed at walls and above ceiling at the 4th Floor. Ductwork was being hung over the 5th Floor.
